The ROOST on Big Harbour is located just outside of Baddeck, the start and end of the World Famous Cabot Trail. With restaurants, shops, grocery store and liquor store only 12 minutes away, you can enjoy being in rural Cape Breton and still have all your needs just a short drive away.
The home itself has a fully equipped kitchen including all appliances and utensils that you will need to prepare delicious meals featuring local foods. If you don’t feel like cooking, there are lots of amazing restaurants minutes away. The breakfast nook is the perfect spot to enjoy your first cup of coffee or check out our collection of books about the area while you plan your day.
The living room and dining room are open to each other and have easy access to the covered porch where you can relax enjoying the beautiful view of the Bras D’or. The house is equipped with a smart TV, unlimited WIFI, BluRay player and a bluetooth compatible stereo. Want to listen to some local music – check out the cd’s featuring some of our favourite local artists.
Upstairs is where you will find the bedrooms and full bath with double sinks and tub/shower. The master bedroom has a comfy Queen bed and private balcony with views of the Bras D’or. The 2nd bedroom also has a Queen and a twin tucked away. The 3rd bedroom has 2 cozy twins. The back bedrooms have views of the woods and a feeling of being in the tree tops. In total, you can sleep 6-y people comfortably. All bedrooms have dressers and closets so you can unpack and really settle in during your stay.
Other features of the property include screened porch, BBQ, downstairs powder room and washer & dryer. Just pack your clothes and come. For your use we also have beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, umbrellas, board games, puzzles and cards. Looking forward to eating fresh lobster? That’s great – we know a guy! Want mussels? – We know another guy! Actually, she’s a girl, but all the same, she can hook you up! Upon booking, we can provide you with suggested detailed itineraries of what to do, where to go and where to eat.
