Every time we visit Cape Breton, we discover a new great place to eat.
Recently, we tried out Tom’s Pizza in downtown Baddeck and I have to ask myself, why have we never eaten here before? The pizza was delicious! A perfect crust with tasty sauce. This will now be our go to stop for a tasty and easy meal – especially for our first night. Pop into town, grab the essentials, a pizza and head back to the house for a relaxing afternoon – PERFECT!
There are tons of awesome places to eat, but there are a few places that we never miss the opportunity to stop at.
The Lobster Galley – 51984 Cabot Trail – You can’t miss it as it’s right on the turn off to St. Ann’s and the Gaelic College. TASTY TASTY TASTY – you won’t be disappointed! Dine in and enjoy the beautiful view!
High Wheeler Cafe – Downtown Baddeck – everything you would want in a sandwich shop. Everything is delicious. Eat breakfast there and grab lunch to go.
Stand and Stuff Your Face food truck – downtown Baddeck – You won’t be disappointed. Great food and Great Service!
The Dancing Goat Cafe and Bakery – 6289 Cabot Trail – delicious sandwiches and baked goods, perfect stop for breakfast or lunch. Try the Fat Archie cookies – yummy!
The Old Triangle – Sydney – Great Food, Great Service, Great Entertainment – Try not to miss this place. If you’re headed into Sydney add it to your itinerary for sure!
Chowder Hut – Meat Cove – Worth the drive for sure! The views are SPECTACULAR and the chowder is even better! Try to visit on a clear day, and if visiting later in the season, check to make sure they are open for business. Get there early as they sometimes sell out!
These are just a few of the places we’ve been and loved. There are many, many more that we haven’t even tried yet. Please let us know if you have any recommendations – we would love to hear about them!
