We have just returned from a fabulous trip to The ROOST. We spent a lot of time working on the house, clearing dead trees to open up the view and finding treasures and art to decorate. But most of all we spent time laughing and hanging out as a family. We celebrated 2 birthdays with family and St. Patrick’s Day with friends.
Even though we were busy with the house, we still managed to sneak in some time to get out and experience the beauty of Cape Breton in the winter and all of the fun things that are going on.
The Gaelic College has a Ceilidh every Wednesday night and hosts a camp during the March Break and the Baddeck Legion has Chase the Ace on Fridays. The Old Triangle in Sydney has live music and is a great place to grab a bite to eat and enjoy a local beer. We had the most amazing experience checking out the Ice Wall in Irish Cove. Mother Nature is powerful and fantastic! Skiing and tubing at Ben Eoin, Ice Fishing, Snowmobiling, Skating – the options are endless!
